Greensboro Area Health Education Center offers a wide variety of continuing education programs for dental professionals. We are an approved provider by the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners (NCSBDE), and work closely with the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. The North Carolina Area Health Education Centers are an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. Greensboro AHEC Continuing Dental Education Courses have met the criteria of the North Carolina Dental Hygiene Society for continuing education credit.

Greensboro AHEC requests continuing education credit from the Dental Assisting National Board for all programs relevant to Dental Assistants. “DANB Approval” indicates that a continuing education course appears to meet certain specifications as described in the DANB Recertification Guidelines. DANB does not, however, endorse or recommend any participant continuing education course and is not responsible for the quality of any course content.

We offer North Carolina’s longest-standing on-line/blended learning courses in Intraoral Radiography for the Office-Trained Dental Assistant and Coronal Polishing for the Dental Assistant II that meet the requirements set by the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners (NCSBDE).
